in response to the 4 page thread about putting n00b corp tax up to 30% i decided to voice my own opinion.
dont raise the tax, dont do anything, just kick players automatically out of newb corps after 60 days. Simple. No stick, no carrot, just out.
Players failing to find a player corp before the 60 days is up get moved into a new 1 man player corp named after themselves. This would be the new default corp for players leaving one player corp for another.
simple. There is no argument against this tho i fully expect someone to come up with one. I wont allow the EvE public to ruin a good idea which is why its not page 50 of a thread already full of "you just want to hurt mission runners/macros/griefers/my "playstyle" arguments.
so there it is CCP, just auto kick. problem solved. again.
a final note: for some reason the statement "hey stop trying to change my playstyle man" makes me think of hippies. Its not your playstyle ***** its the one the devs let you have so dont get all righteous about something that might change tomoro. |

go into all the detail you like, logically there is 100% no reason why anybody should spend more than 2 months in a starter corp.
they are for new players see? now explain to me how someone more than 2 months old is a 'new player'?
whats that?
u cant?
didnt think so.........

Originally by: Philo Farnsworth I think every player that hasn't joined an elite pvp 0.0 alliance within 30 days of joining Eve, and seen actual pvp action, should have the Eve application self-delete from their computer.
If they haven't left the npc corp, have it format the hard drive before it goes.
no, i think your full of **** and you dont have enough brain cells to come up with anything other than a sarcastic response to a post you werent able to muster the mental power to read, even the bold bits.

no, so other people can.
also to end all the things people moan about in reference to starter corps: griefers, macroers etc etc etc.
lets no forget the most important point of all we are talking about NEWB CORPS as i keep saying why should non-newbs be in them? I still dont have a satisfactory answer to this question.

have a cookie, and read my earlier response to someone re sarcasm:
all this time to come up with a smartarse answer but you still cant tell me why non newbs should be a newb corp past 60 days can you?...
....can you?....
....waits....
...didnt think so. Again.

Originally by: Asinia Au I would also point out that NOOB corps is just what we call them. That does not make them so. That does not mean that the devs ever meant for every new player to leave them after a short period, or ever for that matter.
ok, at last a point. It would be great to get CCPs clarification on what exactly they did intend but i am fairly sure it was not to allow players to ignore large aspects of the game.

Originally by: Banana Torres Nope. But then they can join one of the other NPC corps. So problem solved, no vets in noob corps, carebears safe in an NPC corp. Everybody happy.
An article you may like to read before replying.
what? srsly wtf are you talking about? My OP states that NOBODY but beginners should be in an NPC corp. no carebears, no vets, no pvp gods, no mission runners, no macroers, nobody.
i totally fail to see the reference to straw men, i prefer tin men as it goes.

ive been readin threads about this crap since before i started playing. I see this as a logical fix to the problem to be honest. It may be a somewhat sharp solution but it certainly fixes a raft of problems.
also i dont care what comes from where minerals or w/e wise, let em leave ill shut the door behind em.

[1] It doesnt make me angry at all. In fact players staying in n00b corps actually 99% does not affect me. It is however still a change I would like to see and since I only had the work laptop when i started this thread a good discussion never hurt anyone.
[2] Fine, conceded, it doesnt say anywhere in the name "newb corp." This is something I think CCP need to clarify their position on because the playerbase seems to be split by this issue and knowing "where CCP stand" would cause a lot of people to stfu fairly quickly.
[3] I guess a lot of this type of thread are started by pirates who currently have no targets to shoot. I am not one of them, and since ive been reading these threads for the last 2 years it cant really be anything to do with the current situation.
[4] To all the "but you want me to play it YOUR way and i want to play it MY way" people: thats fine, as long as you fully support player corporations being allowed to opt-out of ingame systems like war-deccing since by your argument everyone should have the playing field the way they want it.
im probably not going to reply anymore to this today im back on my main PCs to go back to my OP, i knew the flames and arguments that would be directed at me ive read them all before, I even go so far as to say this in the OP. simply put i stick by what i said, thats just my opinion thought and as someone rightly said, im just one voice.

Originally by: Erim Solfara Eve is the game they play because they don't have to put up with being forced into combat with griefers and people better than themselves. If CCP did this, they'd lose a massive playerbase, and the economy would crash. (Simply put, if the NPC corps lost their members, the miners (NOT MACROERS), industrialists, freighters, productionists amongst others would lose their community, and perhaps even get war decced when pirate corps have a field day deccing everybody in sight. They'd leave the game.
Your arrogance amazes me.
thank you thank you, arrogance, genius, its all the same to me.
ill have their stuff thx, all of them. Frankly i just dont care. CCP would probably lose a big part of their income if all the macroers left to be honest. Its not my position to care about CCP, you, or any of the other whiney people that have replied to this thread.
My position remains the same, boot em out, sink or swim i dont really care.

I really like this reply
Yes of course Inn0cent victim is in a newb corp........whilst im sure my corp and alliance mates wouldnt care that im having what is really a totally pointless argument with you people id rather keep it between you and me
In truth I cannot prove CCP planned for anyone to leave their starter corp whoever mentioned that, good point. To the "Privateers war-dec industrial corps so im off to join a starter corp" person, you are one of the reasons this needs to be done. Privateers have war-decced ALL the major alliances in the game, they are anything but "industrial corp gankers."
no one is whining. I saw a post and had an idea about a change I would like to see in the game, so i posted it. This is for general conversation by the eve-o community and as such i think it serves its purpose perfectly well.
/me adds imperial shipment to 'war-dec' list

Funny how you find no shame in hiding behind an alt or NPC corp when it suits your purposes.
explain how it makes me a hypocrite at all u illiterate moron?
by my OP I would currently be in a corp called "Inn0cent victim corp." How is that any different to the situation here?
Did i say "no alts"? Did i say "Alts must be in a traceable corp"? Nope.
I was however waiting for you to jump into that big pile of crap with both feet in your eagerness to be a smartarse tho
good job there
